India is such a country where you cannot disclose something like this. People might judge you and your mental health too. They can even decide to make some distance from you after hearing this. While if someone tells you this that means that person is going through a very rough phase and you should help that person.

Yo Yo Honey Singh
Yo Yo Honey shared to all his fans once he came out from his illness. He said that he was suffering from Bipolar Disorder from past few years and he did not talk to anyone or met anyone as he was scared facing even 4-5 people. He even said that I have worked with so many people in the industry and I just could not face anyone of them while I was suffering from this disease. He did not shaved his beard since then and he always used to keep himself in a room.
He said he only knows how difficult and painful it was for him to get out of that darkness. After getting out of the he sang a song “Dil Chori” from Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety which was again a big hit.
She is considered as one of the best actresses in Bollywood and is one of the Bollywood celebrities who have gone through depression. The diva has also gone through the phase of depression and she revealed it in one of her interviews where in she said that she wants to open a mental illness health center where people who are suffering from depression could treat themselves for their betterment.
She had not only spoke about her mental illness but also had taken a bold step by wanting to open a center for this as she said that in India people don’t find comfortable to speak on their mental health as the other people might judge them.
Anushka Sharma is also one of the Bollywood celebrities who have gone through depression. The Pari actor, had posted a tweet on Twitter related to depression after which her fans were really worried about her health. She had tweeted “I have anxiety. And I’m treating my anxiety. “I’m on medication for my anxiety. Why am I saying this? Because it’s a completely normal thing. It’s a biological problem. In my family there have been cases of depression. More and more people should talk openly about it. There is nothing shameful about it or something to hide. If you had a constant stomach pain, wouldn’t you go to the doctor? It’s that simple. I want to make this my mission, to take any shame out of this, to educate people about this.”
Now the actress said that she is on medication and slowly and steadily she is getting fine.
The Raid actress is one of the Bollywood celebrities who have gone through depression while she disclosed about her mental illness on the show of Miss Malini. The actress was suffering from Body Dysmorphic Disorder, anxiety and depression. She said it was really tough time for her as she struggled a lot that time and she would always remember that time. She said her family supported her a lot during her illness and because of them she was able to get rid of this.
The Badlapur actor also revealed about his struggle to fight against depression. Many of the few people know about Varun’s depression while he was shooting for his blockbuster movie “Badlapur” where he had to play a role of a psycho and somehow he got so much into the skin of the character that he started acting like his role in the real life too and he started feeling sad and depressed.
He said that “I was depressed. I was not clinically declared depressed but I was heading there. I was very sad to a certain degree. I don’t want to use the term ‘depression’ loosely because it’s a serious illness. It definitely affected my mental health. I was prescribed and did see a doctor for it as well”.
